full-time stay at home mom

This has been my first week as a full-time stay at home mom. On NJ's birthday, we had a wonderful day playing at home. He has taken two naps a day all week! Even I took advantage of nap time and occasionally took a nap myself. NJ is so energetic that I definitely need to take naps to keep up with him.

I am living my dream right now. My ultimate long-term goal has always been to be a stay at home mom. I have a sense of fullfillment. Maybe I should make some more goals now. Raising NJ is a priority goal.

Some people say that I will get bored. I really don't think that I will.

Congratulations, Amber! I can totally relate to wanting to stay home so that my kids have more quality time with me, teaching them what they need to know for school, etc. They still watch way too much TV. But being a working mom, there is nothing I can do about how much TV daddy and the sitter let them watch. And I have to let them watch some so I can cook dinner and on Saturday mornings so I can clean house.

I think you will find a routine that will fill your days so you don't get bored. Especially when you have another kid!!!! Good Luck and God Bless.

I only turn on shows with a educational value.

Friday, NJ only took one nap. That apparently makes a difference because Golden was exhausted.

With as much energy as he has, I cannot imagine what the "terrible twos" will be like. We may need to start investing in energy drinks.

Bored?? Who says that?

You are going to have so much fun. I am jealous of my wife. She is constantly on the go with the kids doing fun things.

Let's compare:
Sitting in the office all day in front of a computer screen or spending the day at the pool or zoo or park or Union Station/Crown Center or Wonderscope or a different park or with friends.

I don't think you'll get bored. If anything you'll be missing the days you had a minute to put your head down on a desk a steel a snooze or two! :) LOL

I can fill up days and that's without a kid. I could never be bored chasing my very own schedule at home. I've always wanted to be a stay at home writer, ha!
